Default Damn-threee more weeks for headwork!

Just venting here. My 103 Fatboy has been at the dealer for five weeks for headwork, fatcat, and dyno tune. They said turnaround is six to eight weeks, so they are on schedule. But the anticipation is killing me. The guy who does the headwork said that he does custom valves that match the flow of the heads and is taking longer than he thought. Gonna be 70 degrees tomorrow. Hope the wait is worth it?

It will be VERY worthy of the wait, trust me! Headwork is often over looked when guys to "stuff" to their engines. You always see people who do the big bore, the cam's, the this, that and the other but seldom do you see guy's doin head work. If I was offered anything I wanted for free on my bike, out of all the choices I could pick from I would pick head work. We all have our prefrences, we all think differantly but if it were me and my choice, it would be head work. Your bike, when you get it back, will be nothing like your old bike before you took it in, given it is done correctly that is. Just chill until you get it back and then get on and enjoy it cause it is going to be a whole new ride for you! I love mine and it was worth every penny and every minute of waiting.

I'll agree. After I hit cams, the heads were next. Well, before I did cams I did a 95. And with that I did a different set of cams. But then with the next set of cams I did a mikuni carb. But with the heads I did a racetek ECU and Crane Roller Rocker Arms. And the pipes came with the bike but I changed those later too. Awwwwww HELL, you get the point!!!! Hahahaha!!! It never ends!!!

But heads are bitchin!!! Pull all the way thru the mid range. And the exhaust note is just orgasmic!!!!

Thanks guys. I am just short on patience, a real flaw in my personality. I have done nothing but more and more research on headwork and 2 into 1 exhaust since they have had my bike, and it has made me even more excited. But as we all do sometimes, I questioned is mine going to turn out hp and tq like everyone else I see?

Sure. 09 Fatboy. 103 Big Bore, SE259E cams, 10:5:1 high compression pistons, perfect fit pushrods, high-lift valve springs. Bike ran superb. But, was always curious what headwork and a 2 into 1 exhaust would do? Guess I'm gonna find out!!

Ah, today was supposed to be nice here in Pa. Very, very windy, so I didn't miss the bike today. One more day gone by.
