Problem with fatboy. I am new to this forum and I'm looking for a little help. I have an 08 fatboy and all of a sudden it started running rough. It feels like it will run fine for a few minutes and then it feels like it is running on one cylinder and the engine light will come on. I just bought it and haven't had a chance to ride it much and the ethanol gas has been in the tank about six weeks. It had approximately 1 gal. of gas in it so I added fresh gas, seafoam gas treatment and changed the plugs but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

 

Start with downloading the codes. I can't tell you off the top of my head, but it is just pushing in the speedometer reset button in the proper sequence. It should give you a code. Search the forum for codes. The process is posted here somewhere, along with the codes and what they mean. That might give you a place to start.
