For Low-Mid TQ U need a cam that the intake close is less than 35*..

There are several cams that do this, but U need to watch out for too high of CCP.. this will put more stress on the starting system and also could have trouble with Pinging if U have trouble getting 92-93 oct gas. Like the SE 255's.

Any of these below wound do U a good job.

The S&S 551 with E-Z start have CR's built in.
Andrew's 21 and 26 are also good. with the 21 U should get a little more down low.
SE 204's have nice Idle lope and make good #'s. but need the 4* advance.
Dave mackey 510's
Head Qts TC 500.
SE 203's,

My understanding is that Crane is making there cams again, so the Crane 1-6000 for the TC motor would be a good choice for low-mid TQ.
This was the cam I wanted but in 08 Crane went out of bussines and I couldn't find one anywhere, So I ended up with the Andrews 26h's. We ride two up and I am totally happy with them.

Just look at the spec sheet for the one U pick by doing a google search.

This link below is one of the best I've found to look at the specs of most cams on the market today.. enjoy and learn.

Im not a rider that judges performance from a sheet but rather from feel and for the price and overall feel I like the 204 and that loping idle does make it stand out.

Can you tell me what you mean by 'a nice idle?'

Many aftermarket cams will give a distinctive "lope" at idle. Most riders like that!

I am another happy user of the se204 cams, nice lope at idle if you like that, but nice noticable difference from a 96" fxst with exhaust and a/c.
I am currently just in the finnishing stages of tuning with the TTS, which I find really easy to use. some day I will get out to Russel (lonewolf) and get it on the dyno.

There are a lot of dyno sheets out there to mill over. cams have to be the most difficult decison out there since there are so many good ones to choose from.

As for the 4* advance for using the 204's I read somewhere where they did back to back dyno runs and the 4* advance din not help.

The 4+ advance gear doesn't help the Numbers at all,,, it just moves the timing events around so the cam comes on around 300-400 rpms sooner to help the TQ in the lower rpms...

of course that also means it gonna fall off about 300-400 rpms sooner also..

The gear just move the line to the left a little sooner...
