Default 16 Carlini Flying Apes cable length?

Just waiting on my order for Carlini Flying Apes 1.5 inch 16". Wondering what you guys used on cable lengths? +14? I have the hydraulic clutch on the screaming eagle. I have black powder coat bars and I am looking to grab probably Magnum black pearl or toss up on Barnett premium series chrome. What length on these from your experience?

bump...Anyone have some experience with these bars? I'd rather get the lengths than have to do a mock up and then order. Too much down time.

2 years ago i put 18" gangsters on my Night train... I messed around with mock up bars and still ordered brake line wrong. Last week I ordered the same bars for my Road king and Carlini is custom building the cables for me...Much easier!! They can do cables for most bikes you just have to call them and ask.

Thanks slvdout... Carlini offered the cable kit, but they do not have the hydraulic kit for the CVO model I have so the kit wouldn't work. I asked them what the length were on the kits and they said they did not know, that they just had the kits. Surely someone would know over there. I will try and call them back and press them to ask around. Thanks brother!

When I did my Paul Yaffe bars on my SESG, I needed a hydraulic clutch line as well. I went with Magnum Strerling Chromite II's, but it's all the same.

I ordered everything from Dr. Vtwin, and they knew what size lines to go with. Recommend giving them a call, they should be able to help.

LA Choppers is another option too. Chucky gave me lengths (the plus size) to call Barnett when I went with platinum cables from them on my Springer.

The length is the same, it's just the line style is different.

I just put 16' 105" on my 12 Lo and had to go with +12 from Barnett and the upper ABS line was good but wish it was a tad longer. I went back and measured and I think they went of a 10 or 11 because it was really only +10 to the stock length. the are making me a new one also because the caliper line I had to buy from them to sell me the upper was to short as well.
the brake lines are from Goodridge not Barnett, the cables were all good with +12. and get the NAMZ wire extensions if you have CANBUS wiring harness or from HD.

Thanks brothers... I think the +12's will be the closer fit, but I am going to wait for the bars and measure it out with a wire. I ran the bars on my Fatboy in my avatar and photo album back in 04 and I can't remember past yesterday much less that long ago.

I called the Dr Vtwin and they pretty much told me they had no idea kinda like Carlini. I would figure that folks who either sell or do this all the time have a general idea... doesn't appear to be too drastic of size variance on the different harley models such as softail, etc..

The bars I ran on last bike were buffalo bars by Drag and I ran Barnett on those.

I'm telling you bro, I just did this. the clutch, throttle and wiring are perfect at +12 But I think they used a different yr for the upper so they are sending me a new one. I have ABS so it's a 3 part line, the total length of the upper line should be 37.5"

If you don't have ABS the 16" 1.5" Gangsters put the master cyl fitting 18.5" up fron the top tripple tree and 13" from the center of the tripple tree.

You can use those measurements to add to your stock brake line and where it sits and order your stuff now so maybe you can get it all at the same time and get it done.......

Good luck, you will love em!
