Default HELP - 18" tire issues

So I got an aftermarket 18" rear wheel for my 07 Nightrain and playing hell trying to find a decent tire.

I've found 2 choices for 200/50/18:
- Metzler ME880
- Dunlop Elite 3 - this looks like a sport bike tire...?

Ya'll with 18" rims, what are you doing for tires? I'm tempted to try & sell my new 18" rim & buy a 17" instead. Seems like ill have less trouble in the long run. Problem is would it even sell (was thinking $900)? Also, will the 18" rim lift my bike?

18 lifted my softail deluxe which neutralized my lowering it and also lost top end speed from 110 down to 90

What size tire? I went with a 140/70/18 on my Lux and it was maybe a 1/4" taller in overall diameter compared to the stock 16.

Swifty, I found a 200/55-18 in an Avon. Not sure how the profile would compare to the 200/50.

Default 18"

Ya I feel your pain. I got a good deal(ya right) on an 18" PM Gasser wheel until I tried to find tires for it. Wanted to keep it radial but having a heck of a time finding one. Bought a Metzler 140/75B 18 XXL that they claimed was a radial but nowhere on the tire does it say radial. This was for the front by the way and I own an 2011 Fatboy Lo. Guess I'll try it and see how it handles but there's just not much out there for 18" tires.

Your not looking very hard...18" tires abound...you can even get a HD branded Dunlop.
