I am 6'6" and currently ride a 2011 Blackline that I bought new for that same price. I think that a Night Train is a great bike for us tall guys but I agree with the others on the price - seems very high.

2 years ago I picked up my 2006 Night Train with 9k miles on it for 11 grand. I would stay away from that one, the price is way to high.

I'll probably go down to the dealer on Friday and haggle with them. I like the fact that I won't have to shell out later for the exhaust, air and tune etc. Already done but yeah at almost 14g's it's too high for age and miles when I sit and think about it.

Thanks all for the input.. much appreciated

Got my 06 last year for 9000 yes it had 24000 on it but it was well taken care of. Had V/H short shots, stage one A/C with 1 1/2 t -bars and still had the plastic on fear fender. I upgraded to hydrolic cam chain tentioners for peace of mine and they still looked new when I took them out. So what I'm getting at is if the bike was taken care of, in my opinion it's worth. Around 10000 it looks very clean

Yeah I saw it last week at the dealer and it was very clean, very well taken care of. I'll be taking it for a ride Friday so we'll see how low they go. Knowing it's a deal I'm pretty sure they don't drop the price much.

Look- it's not THAT much of a "deal". In this economy, even Harley dealers are learning to haggle a bit. That old rule of a Harley "costing what it costs- don't like it? Someone else'll buy it" disappeared with the housing bubble back in '03.

When I went to Empire HD to look at a SG, the first price they came up with was a JOKE. I told them as much. They came back with a better price.

See? And that was for a BRAND NEW loaded SG. If they stick to the $14,000, it wasn't meant to be and they can cram their profit margain up their a**.

That's a 10-11 grand bike at the most. With that kinda mileage, you're gonna hafta start thinking about cam tensioners like YESTERDAY. Then there's tax on top of that.

Buy privately. I would absolutely NEVER buy used from a dealer. Unless you buy your KY jelly by the case!
