Ralph, Jr. Killed while seeking shelter during a storm on a motorcycle camping trip ... by a damn falling tree!!!

Yeah, motorcycles are dangerous!

I'm with you. If riding is just one of your hobbies, drop it and don't look back. If you are like me and its your main hobby and you have been doing it your whole life...think it over again. I've been riding my whole life and have never lost any riding buddies to a motorcycle accident, so I've been lucky. I have lost friends, and co-workers, to heart attacks and cancer and they were often younger than me. As you get older, you start looking at risk differently. Especially when you see people in their early 40s dropping from a heart attack or stroke.

Most of us who ride have a bit of the dare-devil in us, so we take all that as a learning experience and move on. I can see where it can be a bit too much for some though.

You really got to hand it do those who have really smashed their bikes and bodies up and then get back on the saddle. I'm not sure I could. Hope I never find out.
+1 to that Benway.

Those female drivers under 20 are the worst threat that you have. If they are not texting, or dialing the phone, talking on the phone, riding like their hooked to you, then they are left turning in front of you which just happened to a local Harley rider and his wife just two miles from my house. The guy was killed and his wife was seriously injured.

I'll give you $7002.00, and I'll send a hot redhead over from Fairfield to pick it up. Leather chaps optional.

9000 miles on a 2011 may seem like alot of miles .. To a guy that doesnt actually ride his bike , and spends all his time in the garage trying to make it look pretty.

Mike,

I am in CT as well and there are so many roads and times that I refuse to ride on. I avoids highways, major routes, churches, schools and major shopping areas due to the dumb assery here.

Coincidently

I was thinking about a heritage in the color combo you have with abs, if you are serious and come up with a reasonable price, let me know, maybe we can work something out.

Adding a good Stebel air horn really helps. Saved my butt many times. Also, try not to ever ride directly next to another vehicle. Stay in my lane, a few feet behind the rear bumper of cars on either side of me. If I need to get past them, I do it damn quickly. Sorry you've given up, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
