So after almost getting killed for the 4th time this year (this one involved a texting girl pinching me between her and the guard rail and a guy fixing a flat tire) I have decided to sell the bike. I stopped about two feet from the rear bumper of the stopped car, and am convinced if the bike didn't have ABS I wouldn't have stopped in time.
Don't get me wrong, I love to ride and am not wanting to give this up, but my life is worth more to me and my family than riding.
Anyhow, the bike is a 2011 Heritage with 9,000 miles. ABS and security option, garage door opener option, V&H Big Shot Staggereds, Power Commander V, and Fuel Moto Heavy Breather.
In order to stay alive today here in Ct you must be aware of everything around you.. if not they will wreck you... if you think it's bad there come to the Hartford area they put a whole new meaning to bad drivers..hell I dodged 4 bullets on the ride home today and came home safe so thats a good day. sell the bike no way, some people are riders and some are just rec riders. If you sell now be prepaired to take a bath on it as you have a lot of miles compaired to others on the market. Here a tank would be a good option to trade up to
Damn! Jesla you one cold dude. But I have to agree. Some just aint cut out for it. But I can't blame Mike. CT has some dumb a$$ drivers.
Could be luck, could be lack of skill, could be odds. If I had that many incidents thrown at me, I would have to evaluate my behavier as a rider. I WOULD GUESS AROUN $15k for selling price. Good luck with the sale.
