Default Fatboy for two up riding

OK so how does a Fatboy do for two up cruising and light touring?

I've got mine set up with passenger floorboards and a wide back rest. My wife has major nerve damage in her back and she can go for hours on the back. Floorboards made a huge difference as did the wider back rest. She's able to move herself around with the floorboards and reposition herself better. It's more comfortable now that I have the apes as well.

I have the wide detachable backrest for mine and my wife loves it. We ride the mountains of western Maine and Northern New Hampshire without any problems.

its just fine. the wife and I are on the bigger side and the fatty does just fine. she would like the floor boards instead of the pegs but thats her only issue.

Well mine's a Deluxe, but I put on the floor boards, sissy bar, and wide pillion and she does just fine up to about 5 hours. I will saying riding 2 up on a stock bike has some drawbacks. Passing cars is a little tricky. And it took forever for the bike to hit 100. Probably not the smartest thing to do with two kids but our life insurance is paid up.

Ride 2up also. A wider back rest, adjust the shocks for more weight and get a better seat. HD Sundowner works great. It will sit you back and lower, has some support for your back and more padding for both of you. The negative is the single front disk.

Fat Boys are outstanding two up cruisers that are very capable of going the distance. One of the best I have ever owned. More roomy than my Dyna and not the 900 pound tank the Ultra's are. I can't tell you how many of my buddy's can't even back there touring bikes out of parking spots, or have to make a big production trying to find a place/way to park just so they can get out of a slanted parking lot. Not for me! Since buying this Fat Boy, I am sold on them. We just rode to the smoke out and back. Almost seven hundred miles round trip in one day. Both me and the other Fat Boy in the pack were as comfy as any other bike. They are outstanding two up motorcycles and with the vast array of accessories such as full size windshields, tour packs, saddlebags, sissy bars and seats, your can customize your Fat Boy to be exactly what you want for two up LONG hauls.

I have a 2011 - after a couple trips the pegs had to go for floor boards - I swap them out for short rides..but no problem with power, comfort, etc..I have the exact same set up as the first post..
