I can go from this

To that in about five minutes and the wife loves it

Great either way, one or two up, in my opinion.

Default Ride On...

We have had some great rides, just finished a trip to the tip of the pinky of Michigan, Leelanau Lighthouse. We rode the famous M22.

Sheeeet, it takes longer than that just to wait for a buddy to stop laughing, get off his bike and help back an Ultra out of a bad parking spot.

Yep the Fatboy is a great 2up bike. Wife loved the wider passenger pillion, back rest and windshield. She now has her own bike so there is not much 2up riding anymore. But like mentioned above in a matter of less then 5 min you can change it over.

My wife loves the Fatboy. She's quite comfy. I remove the Le Pera and put the Stock seat on along with sissy bar and the detachable bags and we are good. NO complaints and let me tell you, she would complain.

Fatboys are great bikes. For me they are not an option for 2 up due to the gvwr. I am 330, so my wife and I together are quite a bit over the gvwr of the Fatboy. Road King gives us more weight and load capacity.

Not for me! Since buying this Fat Boy, I am sold on them. We just rode to the smoke out and back. Almost seven hundred miles round trip in one day. Both me and the other Fat Boy in the pack were as comfy as any other bike. They are outstanding two up motorcycles and with the vast array of accessories such as full size windshields, tour packs, saddlebags, sissy bars and seats, your can customize your Fat Boy to be exactly what you want for two up LONG hauls.

Your buddy's must either be old or very short and weak. I weight 150 lbs and have never had a problem backing my ultra or even picking it up if it falls over

I just try not to drop them.

But if you have all that experience picking up dropped Ultra's, you pretty much made my point for me.

We just completed a 6 day, 5 night road trip from Chicago to Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky via the Hoosier National Forest on my 2012 Fat Boy Lo. Stock seat, detachable sissy bar and the wide pad. I'm also configured with the detachable saddle bags and no windshield.

Our longest stretch at one time was about 250 miles with no complaints from my wife until our 5th day out. By the end of the 5th day, we were both butt tired but consider this is the most ambitious outing we've taken since I learned to ride in September of last year.

Having completed the trip, I'm inclined to replace the passenger pegs with floorboards to give her greater positioning options and some added sense of security. Performance wise, the bike was responsive and still easy to handle feeling very much like it was just the passenger and nothing more.

To further flesh out the configuration and give you a sense of what we were able to load on the bike for this trip, I packed rain gear in each saddle bag, camp stove in one, camp cookware in the other, sweater/long sleeve shirts in both, camp towels and pillows in both, first aid kit and a handful of other small items.

On the luggage rack I packed a Tourmaster Cruiser III Sissy Bar Large pack fully loaded with two stuff sacks of clothes, camp food, fuel for camp stove, a fry pan, camp shoes, maps and a variety of toiletries.

An REI Quarterdome T2 two man tent was bungied to the back of the Tourmaster pack as well.

That said, I don't know what I'm missing but I'm very happy with the performance of my Fat Boy for 2 up riding.
