Crank positoning sensor
I have a 2008 heritage that has starting issues. Some time it starts fine other time it starts like it is running on wrong cyclinder. If I shut it off and do it again it might fire right.I was told at my dealer that the crank sensor is going bad.Anybody had this problem or any ideas before I start spending money on stupid things. Also there is no check engine light on.
Hard to say from only that information. It's not a big deal change that you can do yourself more than likely if you want to use the hit and hope method. Otherwise you have to test the sensor output when the bike is being turned over to make sure that the proper signal is being sent every time. You will need a shop manual.
