I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Leatherworks Swingarm bag from American Side Road Cycles and it's been two days and I haven't gotten even a confirmation email. Is this normal? Anyone have any experience with these guys? Did they pack up and ride off to Sturgis?

 

I just purchase the same thing from them last week. I ordered online on a Thursday night and received an email on Saturday saying it would take 9-14 days because they are made to order.

Got another email on the following Tuesday saying that it shipped and it arrived 2 days later.

Bottom line, great experience and quick turn around. Very happy customer!

BTW, I didn't have any extras added to the bag, just order the plain XL version.

 

Yeah, i ordered the plain 312 regular bag. Nothing custom. I hope to hear from them soon. I'm not impressed so far with the lack of communication.

 

I have dealt with them and have had one prob, they are hard to contact during the summer months. They make a good bag, I've had mine for four years now.......and it still looks killer.

 

I just got an update! 6-9 lead time for the bag. Evidently Leatherworks makes each bag to order. Now why wouldn't someone go ahead and order I don't know, like 3 dozen bags and keep some in stock? Yeah, I know it's crazy. Whatever, at least I know they got the order now I just have to wait.

 

I had the same experience. Ordered it, got an email 2 days later saying it could be a 2 week wait since its made to order.

Got an email the very next day that it shipped and it showed up 2 days after that. It took less than a week to get! I will def buy from them again

 

They are definitely lacking in same day response times, but they provide good customer service and stand behind the product they sell. I got the 321xl. Very happy with it and will do business with them again.

 

The wait is killing me. 11 days and counting...

 

Just to update: the bag finally arrived after 2 weeks. The leather is great but I am confused why they rivet the plastic Quick Release snaps upside down. Seems like the snaps would work just as well right-side up and looks better too. Here's a pic of the bag on the bike.

 

I know this is a old thread but I placed a order with them on 7/25/13. I purchased a leatherworks swing arm bag 312LHD and a small tool bag 101 from them. I have only received an email with order # and an email from paypal that they received payment. My question is for any of the guys that have ordered from them is this usual 4 days and no shipping information?
