Default Rode a Street glide.

Okay I rode a 2011 SG today for the first time. It has the 103 slip ons and a short wind splitter shield, apart from that it is stock. The seat and the shield sucked but those can be changed. I have a 2011 FB lo.

What I liked about the SG.

1. It handles a lot better than the Lo, slow or fast turns it really is much better.

2. The suspension is smoother.

3. The 103A rocks on the hwy.

The bad.

1. The floor boards are to high, In Fl I do not need ground clearance.

2. The ABS was really noticable, Never even noticed it on the Lo.

3. The A motor around town is annoying.

Bottom line with the riding I do in Fl with smooth roads and few turns I prefer the more compact Lo.

First I have to say I will never get rid of my Lo but if I were to buy another bike to add to my stable the FLHX would be it.

I like the SG just because it only has four letters - FLHX!

The streetglide is my next bike for sure but my Lo will probably be my bike for the next ten years. That's interesting about noticing the ABS. I wanted to see what it was like on my Lo so I activated it on purpose. It took me braking hard in the rain for it kick in. It hasn't activated any other time in the 10,000 miles I've put on the Lo so far. I can see it being annoying if it kicked in on a regular basis.

Admit it - you were hooked from the time you sat on the FLHX...just don't want to upset your Softail buds...

I would like it as well as my lo but I know I would have to put some money into it to stop that buffeting.

It will definitely pulsate. It just takes a lot to get it there. I did it in the rain and when the ABS kicked I felt it in the rear brake pedal. It felt kind of like someone hitting the bottom of the brake pedal with a hammer. If you haven't felt something similar you probably haven't activated it.
