I don't think mine cuts out a cylinder when its hot. I did take it to work today and it seems fine.I do think its time for synthetic oil though. it seems he likes the fatty. again i think i may be paranoid because its my baby. thanks again for making me feel better. Mike

I stand corrected. I just know that it was introduced in '09 and my bike doesn't have it, which I'm glad about. If your bike is tuned right you don't need it.

Synthetic oil can withstand high temps much better. I don't even run an oil cooler.

My 09 fatty has the rear cylinder cutoff. It's done it a few times, and when it does the bike idles rough and will die on occasion. I don't think 265 will hurt it at all, but I would suggest changing the oil soon after temps like that.
