Default Passender Seat

Hi @all,
I'm new here and I hope someone can help me.
I've got a cross bones 09' which I'm about to modify with a ridged rear fender. Now I'm looking for a solution to install a passenger seat for the "bitch" like the one for the Rocker with the lifted struts. Does anybody know if they exists for a newer softail?
Cheers
Rob

I thought about that, but I don't know if the holes of the fender struts are the same.
I have seen these kind of stuts on softails befor, I hoped that someone here knows if they exists or if one has to build them.

I don't know for sure, but I think that the frames are the sames between the Rocker and Crossbones. If that is true, then the touring strut setup for the Rocker should fit on the Crossbones. I was actually thinking about this the other day as I would love to have a Crossbones as a 2nd bike, but hate the stock fender. The swingarm mounted fenders look perfect on that bike, and the touring strut setup from HD for the Rocker solves the problem when needing a passenger. Curious myself.

If you measure the width of where your struts currently bolt to you can check it with this measurement: approx. 14"

Unfortunately I can't open the pics.
I measured the distance between the two fender strut bolts = 3,8". Now I just need to find out the distance between the bolts on a Rocker. Does anybody have a Rocker in the garage in order to check the distance of the bolts? ;-)

Distance between bolt holes appears to be the same. If your frame is 14" wide between those strut mounting points I bet it will work. The touring struts come from Harley as the wrinkle gray finish. I had mine chromed, but painting them flat black to match a Crossbones would look good. The luggage rack comes chrome (who knows why Harley did that chrome and the struts gray), and then you get the passenger pad, and if you want, the backrest bar and backrest pad too (everything separate of course, 5 separate part numbers to buy).

I'll check the frame again later, but I think its 14" wide. Well if thats gonna fit it will save me a lot of work.
Il'll need the luggage rack and the passenger pad at first. The backrest and pad we will see later. Of course Harley sells everything each, it woud be to easy and cheap otherwise ;-)
Lets see if I can find a second Hand one.... I dout it though ...

Would love to see if this works. Just because I like knowing what parts are interchangeable from one Harley to the next.

When the Rocker first came out there were two versions; the Rocker and the Rocker C. The Rocker C had everything in chrome that the Rocker had in satin gray as well as a passenger pillion (trick seat) integrated into the bike from the MoCo with chrome hardware. These gray passenger seat struts were meant for the standard Rocker and powder coated to match the satin gray found all over that model. Eventually the Rocker was dropped and only the Rocker C carried over into the last couple of years but the struts were still available for those who owned a standard Rockers.

I understand that. I just thought that it is interesting that the luggage rack comes in chrome instead of the satin gray to match the struts.

Who knows? If I had to guess I would say that the finish of a certain part is not just determined by how they want it to look but how they need it to function and in the case of the rack, chrome suited the application better. Just a guess though.
