Talking Finally: New to the Softail Section!

As I am not new to the forum, I am new to the Softail section. On Saturday I traded in my 2011 XL883N Iron (pictured below) for a Brand New 2012 Vivid Black Fat Boy Lo (pictured below) plus some cash, obviously.

My Iron had about 2,000 miles on it, as I only had it for about 3 months, and they gave me $7k for that bike on trade in (stealer started at $3,999 but I worked them up to $7k). They started at $18,900 for the Fat Boy Lo with ABS/Security, and through about an hour of negotiating, I got them down to $10k for the bike, with ABS/Security, Service Manual and 1,000 mile service thrown in.

I like to think I got a heck of a deal on the bike, and just from riding it home from the dealership, I couldn't be happier with my new purchase. Let me know your thoughts, and also what type of Mods you guys suggest I do right away. (No worries, the reflectors were the first thing to come off the bike!)

Thanks,
Barbs

Welcome.
We are new here also, came over from the Sporty newsgroup in march, in April we sold our '06 XL1200C and purchased our 2012 Heritage and within one week started doing the mods listed on our sig, I have some more to install this week.
One of the first, if not "the first", thing to do is install a Shotgun Shock air suspension system, read about all of the positive comments about Shotgun in this newsgroup.

Again, welcome, and let the mods begin.

Barb,

Congrats!!

It's funny to notice that your new FatBoy looks like an adult version of your Sporty.....Grade school photo/College photo

Very nice bike! Your pent-up creativity can be unleashed.....

Now it's time to turn it into something else!

Lo 1... is that a stock Heritage front fender? Looks like it... but the lines seem different... wondering if it's the color/picture or if it really is.

I dig it!

Thanks! It's a Klockwerks Benchmark fender. It hangs lower than the Heritage style fender.
