Default Crossbones tank panel

Hi,
just trade for a 2009 crossbones. I am dubious of many things, one above all is the stock tank panel...
What did you guys do? Got rid of it, change it (in what?) or left it...
Thanks for any feedback!

I left mine I quite like it to be honest thinking about having one made to match for the rear fender

If you don't like it change it.

Check the tank for damage/scratches where the leather might have rubbed on the tank. My denim tank had visible spots where that happened.

I think you can replace it with the one from the Slim. That one also got the cat eye dash.

I still have mine, I just changed most of the rest of the bike ...

I left mine, also. I am thinking about having one made in the same style, except made out of leather.

The tear drop panel of the Bones is the MOST beautiful panel the MoCo makes in my opinion, I wonder what will you change it into ?

it's not the whole panel, it's the little leather thing that joins the panel to the where the sit is...it's leather or looks like leather....

I have a slim and similar to this one I have that leather strip from the console to the seat. Personally I don't like the leather. Just doesn't match my style. I don't see any other options except to swap out the whole console. Short of making something which I'm not skilled at currently. I have thougt about trying a late model wide glide dash in gloss black though. It's metal all the way down.
I know the speedo is a different size but no idea if it'll fit my tank.

I left the stock one on my bones, have actually had a few people ask where I bought it.
