I like the plain old cheap auto parts store engine degreaser and a brush. Some say warm the motor a bit first but I generally don't. Spray it on, brush, hose off and repeat if needed. Well, works for me and for a few bucks will do the motor more than a few times. My current Twinkie has blonde cases as well as every Shovel I have ever owned. And God knows you need that stuff on Shovels!

 

Not sure WTF blonde cases are...
