Default TRI Bar LED Tail light kit HELP

Hey guys, i have a 2005 Night Train with the stock bobtail fender. I want to incorporate the tri bar light kit but the problem i'm seeing is the kit is says for 06-later models. The fenders appear to be the same from my 05 to the 06-later. Will this kit work for my 05 or will modifications need to be made to make it work. If anyone has any answers it would be very helpful. Thanks

Do both the 05 and 06 have the 200mm tire? I don't think so. I have a feeling that the fenders are different, which is why they say for 06 and later. I am pretty sure the 06 and up have the 17" 200mm rear whereas 05 and under have a 16" 150mm. 06 was the first year for the 200mm rear (I believe).

So because of the different tire width, I'm sure the fenders are different also.

Kuryakyn makes a LED taillight for older softails that incorporates the turn signals too. That may be a cheaper option.

06' was the year the softail went to the 200 rear tire. If I'm not mistaken, your 05' train has a 180 rear end (or 150).
