I just had mine replaced and got about 11,000 out of it before it picked up a screw. It still had about 3/32 left on it. The service writer called Harley to get it paid for (wheel and tire package) and they said normally people get about 8k out of them.

I recently changed my softails rear tire at about 8,500. I was a little PO'd at first, until my buddy told me 5K was the average. I guess that's not to bad in that case.

Good luck with that! Tire wear is a subjective thing, its definition is vague at best. Having worked as a regional tire adjuster for a major company, I will tell you that the odds of a replacement tire are against you. I am not doubting your word, but most tire co's have heard it all. Their reasoning for premature tire wear is always abuse or mechanical malfunction. Never tire construction unless a recall has been issued. Very seldom do they issue new tires based on customer information. Hopefully your dealer will make it good, then argue it out with the tire company. Let us know how it turns out.

I got 13000 out of the tire on my Ultra before replacing it, and have put way over 5000 on my Night Train this year and the tire looks fine.

You should post a pic so we can see how worn it is. I typically get 7k to 7.5k out of the stock Dunlap rear tire. I just put new tires on in March and it's about time to replace the rear. I ride a bit more aggressive than most. Maybe you ride even more aggressive? It's going to make a difference over several thousand miles of riding.
