Default Rocker Box Speedo Relo - Progress Pics

Think I've reached the final design for my rocker speedo bracket. Got a plexi mock up cut out and seems to work pretty well. It'll have five of those small LEDs, the trip button, and a toggle switch for the ignition. Enough blab, here's some pics of the progress so far:

Looks good so far! What is the plan for the tank console?

I picked up a used blackline dash from Firezapper to cover the fuel pump access panel. Mocked that up a few weeks back:

Awesome. Perhaps some flush mount gas caps to complete the smooth look?

Jreichart,

It's refreshing to see innovative ideas other than bolt-on accessories. I've been toying with a similar idea to mount an Auto Gauge volt meter onto my Train. Please post some photos once you've completed the mod.

I was thinking the same thing, we'll see how the funds holds up, won't be cheap getting the bracket and gauge cup machined.....

Thanks! I agree, it's a lot more satisfying designing and making things from scratch than just buying something already done. I designed it on a CAD type program and the final bracket and gauge cup will be machined from aluminum. Maching costs are a bit high, but multiple brackets get significantly cheaper. Thinking about putting together a plug n play package (bracket, speedo, idiot lights and ingnition) for anyone that might be interested.....

I'll be updating the progress with pics as I go!

Anybody know how to calibrate an aftermarket speedo? Hooked it up to make sure it worked, and it lights up, needle sweeps the face at ignition on, but with bike running the needle just bounces all over, and doesn't register any speed with rear wheel spinning. It's a jireh cycles speedo, and yes, I did email them, just trying to glean some info from the knowledge pool on here in case they are closed for the holiday already.

looks great! Machining it by hand wouldnt be to hard if you have the tools though. just a lot of grinding.
