Default Heritage Headlamp Visor

I'd bought a Headlamp Visor, Harley part #67752-77T for a 2013 Heritage, and I am finding it difficult to install. Can anyone help or suggestions? This is the metal visor not the trim rings. I get the top part in, then can't get the bottom in on the headlamp, so I can screw the bottom side up to be even all around the headlamp.

I did put visors on tail turn signals and front, and the passing lamps, just this headlamp.

It has been a while since I installed the lamp visors. I do recall the headlamp posing some difficulties.

IIRC, I bent one of the tabs towards the other (carefully) and held the tabs together with needlenose pliers (padded with electrical tape) so the screw engaged earlier than it normally would. I pulled the visor as far forward as I could and slowly tightened the screw. As the tabs approached one another, I bent the tab back and continued to tighten the screw. I centered the visor while it was still maneuverable and finished tightening the screw. Nothing special, just some ingenuity until it was installed. I believe that is the gist of it.

We're talking about a headlamp visor but it is another one of those installs that makes you think "it just shouldn't be this fu*king difficult."

Good luck. Happy New Year

Agreed. Difficult as hell, but just take your time and don't force anything. It does fit.

I just recently installed this visor on my 2012 Heritage to cover a phase 7 LED headlight. It was tight and I thought for a few minutes that it wasn't going to go on. I ended up engaging the top and using some force, pressed in on the ring with my hands sliding from the sides to the bottom. Then used the heel of my hand and gave it a final whack at the bottom and bingo, it snapped in. Installed screw and done. Good luck.

Thanks fellas, I will give another shot at it again, hopefully it comes on in place. At least now I know it wasn't me.

Hey Bone Doc,

I have a 12 deluxe and love those bars you have, what are they?
What risers did you use?

They are the HD beach bars [55967-08]. I had them installed before deilvery and always assumed the risers were stock. The handlebar clamps are not stock but never thought to inquire about the risers themselves. All stock cables must be replaced. I had SS braided Diamondback cables installed at the same time.
