I was wondering can i change the softails rear shock system to conventional dual vertical shocks or to monoshock....ive looked all over the internet to try and find some plans ,where i should weld or cut and place new tabs.. Does anyone know at what angle i should place the vertical shocks and whereni should weld?

 

The entire frame and swingarm are designed around the current setup. You're looking at A LOT of fabrication and work for absolutely no gain.

Why even have a softail if you're just going to get rid of the softail? Buy a regular swingarm bike. It will be cheaper.

 

i agree with scuba, you could go with a dyna, pay a few bucks less, and come out with what you're wanting to achieve...

 

Wouldn't even know where to start.

 

Why would you want to do this? There has to be a big big plan to consider such a big change.

 

You could mount a CBR600RR rear end!!!!!
