Default Amplified Speaker install

I just received my J&M MHAS-2008 self amplified handle bar mount speakers and planning on installing them this weekend on my 2011 Heritage. I already have a 12v power supply to the handlebars. 2 questions: Any shortcuts, or suggestions on the install and is there a power on/off switch in the volume control or on the speakers? Is there a shut off switch of any kind? The install instructions do not state if on/off switch is part of these speakers. My power supply is hot with the key off.

If it were me doing the install, I'd add a relay to the power supply so as to only power it with the key on. My 0.02 worth.

Thanks for the info. I got these speakers installed this afternoon. These "high dollar" speakers have outstanding quality of construction and installation was exact fit with top notch quality. These speakers have more then enough volume at hwy speeds. You can hear them easily with a 3/4 helmet and ear plugs at 70 mph+. The lack of bass is a disappointment, but it is sacrificed for the clarity and volume. This is an outstanding product and of high quality. Are they worth $500? I will let you know.

There is no on off switch. I agree on running the power off a relay.
