I used to run that on my Crossbones and it rattled some. I think it had to do with the mounting points. After I switched out my fender for that of the Fatboy Lo and ran the same sissy bar the fit was a lot more snug and the rattle went away. I suspect that over time, the plastic in the mounting points that go on the bike start to wear down and the fit becomes lose. I read in the instructions for the docking hardware that you should rotate it so many degrees after a certain amount of miles. Based on that, you are able to rotate the docking hardware three times over a certain period of use to maintain a snug fit. After that it recommends that you get new docking hardware.
