Not nesseserally, its just that most people never think of them and they don't get the attention the engineers who designed it planed on.
That and I'm sure most of us have had to endure some road bumps that would test the limits of a dirt bikes bearings.

All bikes have similar procedures, but on a bike with the speed capacity of a Busa.
The engineers must have thought that just letting the wheel fall over probably wasn't good enough to cut it.
In their defense I imagine that being on a bike at 150+mph when the front end suddenly decided it didn't want to go in a smooth straight line would be at the very least amble grounds for a clean pair of shorts.
At worst it could easily be something your relatives might start talking to a lawyer about the day after your funeral.
