Default Hope to get some help

It's been a while since I've been here, but I hope all the great minds are still willing to lend a hand. I bought a 2008 Crossbones a couple of years ago...got the great idea to bob it. Everything went as planned except for not thinking about when the inspection ran out...well I had to get some different tail lights and make a license frame and fabricate a braket for the light. Everything was working fine until I got the seat back on and took for a quick ride to make sure nothing was going to fall off on the way to DMV this week. Got back and the right side tail light was not on but the turnsignal worked. pulled it all back apart and noticed a pinched wire cut out the pinch and spliced it back together...no luck. The only thing I can think it would be is maybe I shorted out this box (see attachments). My question is, is this piece a stock Harley part or is it a load capacitor made by some aftermarket company?? I looked at my 07 Street Glide and it doesn't have one..but I did install LED's on it and I had to get a load capacitor for it. I guess the other question would be is it possible to blow out only one side? It's a single filiment bulb that is still working and all of the fuses are in good shape. Any help would be appreciated..hope everyone is getting a fill of riding.

I had a similar issue. Yes only one filament can work i. e. brake light one filament of bulb and other filament for blinker or tail light. Doubt piece you posted is bad without taking out any fuses. Keep looking probably have bad ground on light socket or wire to light is cut somewhere causing it to gnd out on frame. Lighting issues can sometimes be a xxtch to find the problem.

Don't know if you guys had any interest , but the problem was the module. Took it completely out of the loop and turnsignals no longer work as running lights but they do work as signals...wish me luck with the clowns at DMV tomorrow I'm sure they'll have some questions with my engineering project.
