I added 6" risers with drag bars on my Blackline and I miss that. If it wasn't a major deal, labor and money on the Breakout, I'd like to do that same set up on it.

Here are some pics of the 1.5" spacers I installed that SpacerJim made.
I am 5'7" / 165lbs and the 1.5 inches that it brought the bar closer to me made a big difference. Definitely cannot go bigger without new cables. The break line loses its slack when turned all the way left but not tight. I ride more upright and because I am a little back more it's easier to plant my feet on the ground. There is a website to buy it or other ways? Thank you for your reply |
Hi Fabio, try on ebay.com, I bought mine there. Seller name was Jim. He was selling both polished and chromed spacers, 1,5" and 1,75" tall.

If its the spacer jim out of Michigan, I believe he is now out of the game of making/selling those.

I wonder why a company doesn't sell these riser extensions?

I had mine made a local machine shop. I purchased two pieces of aluminum bar stock 1-3/4" diameter x 1-7/8" tall. Dropped them off at the machine shop and asked that they be machined to 1-3/4" tall and bored to clear a 1/2-13 x 4-1/2" bolt.
I had mine powder coated black. I have about $60 in them. |
