Default Painting my Fatboy

First I would like to say hello and say how much I think this site rocks! I have an 03 100th year aniv. model that I am going to do some custom paint on. I was wondering if anyone here has any tips on fender and gas tank removal. I have the gunmetal blue which Iam going to airbrush skulls over just to make my ride a little different than any stock model. Any tips would be great.

I just had my '04 f-boy painted by crazy horse painting.
Front fender is easy
Fuel tank is tricky, make sure suck all the gas out of the tank and cut the clamps that hold the cross over line, they can't be reused anyway. If you have electric fuel guage you'll need to remove the plug so you can pull out the guage and wires from the top of the tank.the rest is easy.Don't mess with fuel pump if injected.
Rear fender is pain in but not to scratch while removing.Be carefull and take your time. There are 2 inner brackets on each side of fender, turn signals unplug from taillight(be carefull not to break tabs)main plug is under seat area. May be easier to remove tire so you can get your hand under fender.

Well.. with the gas crunch and some decent weather.. I've had an excuse to ride the bike to work. I'm diggin' it again.. Fatboy, roadking or whatever. Just as long as I'm hearing that 45 degree single pin crank like mechanical music to my ears.[8D]
