I have a 2011 FatBoy Lo and am having starter issues. I can hear the starter spinning when I press the start button but the starter is not engaging the engine and cranking the engine over, only spinning. When this problem started, I tried to push start the bike and found the following issue,( issue #2 ) With the bike in neutral the bike rolls freely. When I pull the clutch and shift the bike into 1st gear and keeping the clutch lever pulled, the bike no longer rolls freely. This second issue is while the engine is not running. I need help, please

 

IMO I would say starter Solenoid and a clutch adjustment would be in order. I would open up the primary and see what's going on. Check some of the starter ring gear teeth and the jack shaft. Good luck with the bike hope you get it fixed.
