01 Fatboy won't start
2001 Fatboy efi, ~50,000 miles. I was riding Sat night and it began to sputter like I was low on fuel. I had 3/4 of a tank showing, but I stopped and filled it (1 gal). Rough ride home, had to ride the throttle pretty hard, and had almost no power but made it. It would start and idle rough afterwards. I pulled the air intake cover and sprayed carb cleaner with no change. Now it turns over but won't fire. I can spray carb cleaner in the throttle when it's open and it'll fire for a second. I can hear the pump priming when I turn the power on, and all of the electrical connections are solid. My thoughts are pump/ filter, or something clogged in the line between the tank and injectors. Any thoughts will be very appreciated. Gas is high octane, with ethanol.

Fill the gas tank and see if she runs perfect again.
Mine did the same at 33k, 2 yrs ago..
She'd run good with full tank then starts missing after about 100 miles or so, if Urs does the same its probably the Pin hole in the gas line issue.. lots of member have had it... lots of post about it also.
If that doesn't fix it check Ur battery cables.. see if one or both is loose. these two issues caused was the only time in 7ys I've had a miss.

I would check voltage on battery. A couple years ago I had same symptoms. Bike would start up and run on first push of start button, then a little later it would sputter and miss, and sometimes die. I ran codes and got a bad crank position sensor. Changed it - same problem. Turned out battery had enough surface charge to start easily, but not enough voltage to keep it and electronics running. Mine is EFI - not sure what your bike is.
Thanks folks. I'm in NC teaching this weekend, but will check the battery and cables first when I get back. I have a trickle charger and it says the battery is fully charged, but I'll pull the meter out and actually measure, I guess the hoses will be the next step.
Be sure to fill up Ur tank and see if she then runs normal. easy way to find out if its the hoses.
