Default Help finding less cheap/obnoxious exhaust for Heritage

My 2000 heritage has cheaper PORKER brand exhaust. I'm not clear if they're complete or slip on.

I don't like the sound and the wife complains as well.

It's a cracky blown out obnoxious sound...

I'm all about a nice deep rumble, but this isn't a good version of Loud...

Any tips or suggestions for an alternative?

thnx!

pic taken yesterday, b/c posts with pics are better.

I love my Thunderheaders. I mean they have that low deep rumble, and loud enough for sure! Awesome pipes. 2 to 1's. Its my recommendation.

(edited for grammar and spelling. Hey its early!)

That is a full system exhaust you have currently.

If you are wanting to keep that same style of pipe you have but inprove the quality, I would recommend the Vance and Hines longshots. I think they look great on the Heritage Softail. Here's a pic of one off another thread.

The look of true duals isn't for everyone, but if you like the setup on my Springer, it has a great low tone, and with the pipes exiting behind both rider and passenger, it makes the noise less of an issue while riding without sacrificing the sound of the bike. Love my true duals.

Maybe all you need is a set of baffles? I am betting those are straight through pipes or if they have baffles in them, they are very minimal.

So, as usual, my standard answer is give the folks at Big City Thunder a call and they will fix you up with a set of baffles on the cheap that will tame the harshness.

The V&H big shot longs have the added benefit of a crossover tube that helps with the performance. Not as good as a true 2-1 but much better than true duals. Have them on my deluxe and they sound great.

Default Bassan 2-1 is the deal.

We have the Bassani Road Rage 2-1 on our '12 FLSTC.
The first video I took and the second is from the Bassani web site of our bike, they are using it in their add.

My husband and I just put on these:

Amazon.com: Cycle Shack 2 1/2in. Slip-On Mufflers - Slash Cut MHD-235SS: Automotive Amazon.com: Cycle Shack 2 1/2in. Slip-On Mufflers - Slash Cut MHD-235SS: Automotive

I love them! They have a great sound, but are not obnoxious.
