Default Wheel help

First question-- Anybody know what kind of wheels these are? They have 50 fat spokes. Black rim and spokes, with chrome hubs and nipples.

Second question-- These came off a heritage softail, but the rear hub seems to be way wider than my stock heritage hub not allowing me to run the rear wheel. Do newer heritage softails have a wider hub?

well, I don't have a clue as to answer any of your questions...but I can kinda see what your doing there and I am hoping someone can get you going to make it work cause I think your vision is gonna end up being cool. If that wheel wont fit maybe you can get a new model chrome swingarm and get it to work that way...

good luck dude.

I don't know if this is "technically" hijacking a thread but I see bare tins on there, correct? Whatcha gonna do with them and if it's paint what brand are you going with and the colors? I have been slowly trying to educate myself so that if and when I pull the trigger on paint I have some idea of what I am doing.

Messed with it a little more yesterday and I'm pretty sure I can get it on there no problem. Well it's actually already on, just needs a little fine tuning. Bearing swaps from 25mm to 3/4 and some spacer work along with some milling on the drive pulley and the 07+ wheels are usable. When I say it like that, it sure sounds like a lot of work!

I guess that would help a little, huh? They came off a 2010, and they are going on a 2001. Bit of a difference and apparently the 2007+ wheels aren't exactly the best idea for a wheel swap. Got a good deal on them though!

It is bare metal right now, amazing how many people love it that way, but after some tin work/new stretched fenders, it will be getting some paint. I will most likely go with house of kolors paint just due to the fact that I can get a deal on it. Color wise I am not sure of yet. Something with lots of metal flake!
