Default Kuryakyn Chrome Swing Arm Covers feedback.

Hello Folks.
I am thinking (reluctantly) about a chrome cover from Kuryakyn for my swing arm/rear axle, after viewing some of the installation procedure on the JP cycles web site I am concerned with .
1 - How does this work with the Dead Creek Swing arm Bag mounting kit ? it seems the covers use the belt guard holes to be mounted as well.. I think it can be done.

2 - Wouldn't that add to changing rear tire an extra hassle ? .. I guess all chrome covers do, but I am hoping for some real life feedback.

So if you have them, what is your experience ? is the chrome look worth it ?

I ran the covers for years before putting a real chrome swing arm on.

They are what they are. They look good for covers. Swing arm bag should work fine. The bolt holes are still all accessible. but that's just a guess.

They stay on for any tire change. Only the axle cover comes off if you decide to get the axle cover.

Tire change. Covers stay on the swingarm.

It's just my opinion but chrome covers look cheap. I would rather stay stock black then to put chrome covers on.

They look good for covers; as good as any chrome covers I've bought from H-D. No accessibility issues in my experience. I'd agree with Tony, in that they're not as good as the real thing. But I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Rant: "ON"
I'm against the use of covers for the most part because that is exactly all they are & all they do - cover. When I see them I'm curious to know what piece of mangled hardware it's covering.
I don't want to weigh my bike down with nut covers, bolt covers, frame covers, banjo covers, the list goes on and on.
I had a Kaw I did that to years ago & one day it dawned on me, I looked closely & thought that I have all these pretty covers that don't do a damn thing, cost me plenty of money & time. Some of them we're aggravating to get on & even more of a pita to get off. For the price of all these "covers" I could of had chrome lowers installed & that "one" mod would have been worth 10X to me all the covers I could ever dream of & were functional to boot. I swore never again-no more "covers".
Rant: "OFF"

I had them on my 08 FXSTC, but now all I have left of them is the axle covers. Just go with the axle covers is my opinion. They add a bit more work to tire changes, but it's not all that bad.

Thanks man for putting this Photo on.. really helpful thank you again.

For everybody else, I know covers are lame, but I am getting a bit of a 'shiny' direction and the good thing about covers is that they allow me to change my mind back quick
