Default HHI drive side brake system

Has anyone tried this set up? How do you like it? was the install difficult?

I have a question on the welding the bracket tabs. Can I weld those on chrome? Also, how far did you have to weld the tabs to fit the bracket?

Any pictures of set up with hub caliper would be great.

Thanks!

If you weld them in chrome I am sure they will discolor. You probably want to weld them on then get the swing arm chromed. i avhe sold this kit quire a few times. It is a fair amount of work to put on but it looks super clean. The rotor sits on the inside and the belt pulley outside of that. Be aware this is not simple bolt on. It will take some work to get it set up right. Its not rocket science.

Thanks for the info. I'll put this in a project for this winter. Still would like to see a few shots and close ups. Doesn't look too bad except for the welding. Even that is not horrible except having to re coat it my be a bit of a pain and extra cost.

Yeah. The other option is a PM Phat tail kit with their drive side brake but then you need to spend a lot more.

I have installed two of the ultima chain drive side kits...welding was easy...you will have to grind off the chrome where you weld it, so not to contaminate the weld. Love mine ...gets lot of attention at bike shows.

Thanks Tom!! That looks great! That's what I was looking for.... I am debating this set up, but as long as my budget allows for it, I will do it.
