I bug bomb my garage every 6 months. Between the black widows, funnel "grass" spiders, and wolf spiders, it's worth it. Wolf and funnel spiders are basically harmless but I still don't like 'em.

...and don't leave your zip-up motorcycle cocoon open when you're out riding, or guess what will be crawling around/inside it? Spiders and other bugs. LOL

The geographical spread of the brown recluse is mainly in the wooded areas in the South. Don't have 'em in CA.

Might be some other kind of recluse spider though...
I read a few articles and it seems its an urban myth about recluse spiders here. Thanks. I dont mind the black widows.

I hate spiders too like nobody's business. I have done the windmill dance on many many occasions when I am unlucky enough to walk thru one of those garden spider webs stretched across my trail to my pond.

Unfortunately our spider population in my house is 98% brown recluse and 1% bigbutta garden spiders with 2 foot long legs and bright yellow too boot yikes they are scary and 1% harmless little tiny brown colored black widow lookalikes that like the dark.

I hadn't until now thought about one getting in my lid since I use it a lot but now I will be paranoid thanks.

Had a black widow land on my arm while cleaning out a chicken coop. Yes I screamed like a school girl.

HA!

I'm embarrassed to admit how hard I laughed at that... after thinking about it for a few seconds of course.

Nice.
