Can someone with a '13 or '14 Breakout put up a picture of where the stock left mirror is mounted? I bought extensions and my left one doesn't fit. Just wanted to see if they changed the '15. I noticed the mirrors are mounted different on each side. Thanks

LA quick question for you brother. I have this sneaking suspicion you'll have the answer lol. Me and you have the same breather and even the exact same breather cover. HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU GET THAT DAMN THING OFF TO CLEAN THE FILTER??? I've searched for an answer everywhere. I went to an event at the local Harley dealer this past Saturday and asked some of the service guys and they didn't even know. My filter has turned white so I know it's time to clean it and re oil but I can't get that damn cover off.

Are you talking about the forward facing SE heavy breather and cover?

If so I believe there is a retaining/mounting ring on the back of the filter cover towards where the rider sits that's held in place with a few small screws. If you remove those screws you should be able to get the cover off and have access to the filter. I had this type of breather and cover on my old 48.

Here's the instructions for installation and maintenance of the heavy breather: http://www.harley-davidson.com/app-c...ts/-J04481.PDF

This will work great:

- heh. I'll go and check mine. the pdf guide does not show the kit with the cover, just the rain sock.

There are four small screws on the back ring of the air filter cover. removing those screws will release the filter cover. the filter itself uses a clamp ring to attach to the intake tube. Loosen the clamp ring holding the entire air filter onto the tube, slide it forward and off the tube. then remove the four small screws on the backside of the air filter. the back ring and forward filter cover will separate in two pieces. i would do all of this on a soft towel. use blue locktight when putting the small screws back in.
