Default Extended rear fender

Made my first cuts yesterday to my new extended rear fender. My plan is to add the back section from a front fender to extend my rear fender. I hope that it will be about the same clearance at my front fender when done. Need to do a little more trimming before welding it back together.

I did a little more work on my fender. I got the extention spilt and fitted. Now I just need to fit the pieces for the gap and get my dad to weld it up.

I can't wait do mine. This was supposed to be the winter, the second winter that I got both fenders stretched and the bike painted. BUT, it's also the second winter where issues within the family has made that financially to tough to do. I am finally a Grandpa but my Sons job is up in the air and my Grandson will NEVER go without as long as I am on this side of the dirt. If that includes no mods to the bike than so be it. I am still going to get headwork and dyno but it looks like that might just be it for now. It looks like you are doing a great job, keep us posted.

Looking good so far. Be sure to post up pics when you get welded up. Ill try to post a pic er two of the start of my fender stretch on my 87. Mine is getting re-clocked for a 5 1/2 stretch, and the addition will be at the front en that will be under the seat.
