Default Ride wright wheel falls apart? Scary

Just saw a guy post this up, was riding and it fell apart on the freeway. Messed his bike up pretty bad but didn't wreck.

I would be interested to see the entire story behind this. One random pic doesn't tell a story

Dang. Years ago I had a spoked wheel with a few broken spokes. I was concerned about that very thing happening. Got home with a couple more broke and fixed them before riding again.

Just telling what he said I'm guessing the threads just pulled out. Who knows why.

I have never heard of this happening. I would love to see the condition and care that wheel had before the incident. Maybe they tried messing with the wheels prior to this happening. Please keep us posted on the cause. Thanks

Was the wheel banged up pretty bad in a pot hole?

A friend on Instagram posted it, didn't say anything about a pothole. Just riding and almost crashed after it fell apart. That's all I know

calling BS on this till more info is available. Did he call Sam? Darn near impossible to happen if you knew how hard these wheels are to assemble. I don't see any hub material on any of those spokes. Maybe OP might want to think about giving up riding if this is true. You feel things like loose spokes real fast.
