Any feedback on Progressive Monotubes for the FLSTF
Hi all,
Was considering the Progressive Suspension Monotubes for my 2012 FLSTF. Any feedback on the improvement from those who have the mod on their bikes? Or any other suspension mods suggestions which you think are better value for money.
Look forward to your feedback.

I have the monotubes in my 06 Deluxe. I started out -2" but that was to stiff, like a sport bike. I went to -1 and it was much better. Since I have the air ride on back I think I am put that last inch back in and ride it as is, stock height, since I ride solo 95% of the time. I wouldn't use anything else on up front and would I buy them again? yes.
I know the Progressive Monotubes can be had in stock or lowered heights, but are they customized in any way for your weight, or can they be "tuned" or adjusted?
And if so, how so - by way of spacers?

I have the monotubes in my Low Rider and I thought they are a big improvement over stock. I spent a lot of time fiddling with different weight oil and different levels and wasn't happy with any of it. The monotubes were a big improvement out of the box, not overdamed, not underdamped, keeps the front tire firmly on the road going over RR tracks and pot hole infested roads.
There are no adjustment to them once they are installed.

Like many others I spent many manhours trying to adjust my front end. Different springs, spacer lengths, and fluids. The monotubes hit the sweet spot. I'm using the stock height kit. Included in the kit are 4 horseshoe shaped 1/4 inch thick spacers which add preload to the springs. You must decide whether to use all 4 spacers, 2 spacers, or none at all.

Your weight? The type of riding you do?

I installed Ricor Intimidators. GREATLY reduces brake dive, smooooths everything out nicely, no harshness, when accelerating quickly the front end does not come up, it stays nice and level, much improved handling. Some install Racetech springs with the Ricors to customize ride given the riders weight and riding style, stiff or softer ride. I left stock springs in, set sag and am very satisfied with ride quality. Monotubes can only be adjusted for sag with the spacers, not for riders weight, or stiffer or softer ride. Never rode with monotubes so I can not compare the two.
I have the stock Prog monotubes in mine and pretty satisfied with the improved handling in particular with hard brake dive. For the money we pay for HD you might think they'd put suspension components in them that don't make you think your trees are rattling loose.
