Horn relocation/replacement ideas?
Don't know about you, but even my ol' lady can clutch, downshift, blip the throttle, hit both brakes, lean, turn, and turn on a turn signal at about the same time without falling over.

So where do you draw the line?
Always wear full leathers, always where a full face helmet, never go above the speed limit, never split lanes, .....................never ride a bike, only drive a Volvo etc...
Not being a dick just saying we can "split hairs on safety" all day long.
Bottom line we all ride motorcycles and put ourselves at a higher risk than others.
Fourhour, a lot of people mount the horn to the tab at the top of downtubes. The Rocker and Breakout come stock that way. I wouldn't just bolt those horns and brackets on though, they sound pretty anemic.
Looks like DK Customs has some good options (post #8).
If you get the Wolo air horn, cover it with a plastic bag if you're going to use a pressure washer. I didn't once, and it sounded like a frog for several days.
Also, if the work of wiring in the relay is standing between you and the Wolo air horn, it will work fine without it, at least on the pre"bus" bikes. A number of us are using it without the relay, and I haven't heard of anyone frying the handlebar switch yet.

i have been thinking about removing or relocating mine. if i can find a good place to put it or a smaller horn to fit somewhere nicely i would like to keep it, but i think the easiest and cleanest way is to just remove it.
most people i know don't get their bikes "inspected"... i inspect my bike on a regular basis better than most "state inspection" shops around me do. i've been riding for 10 years and have owned about a dozen or more street bikes, they all had proper registration, but none had current state inspection, it has never been an issue or even mentioned by police...
