Default Helmet Lock

Anyone know of a helmet lock I can use on a Heritage? I bought he HD helmet lock and it will not fit around my engine guard, I can't even get the screws in as the 2 pieces are to far apart. I tried the handle bars as well and the bars are to small. I tightened them all the way and it just slides down the handle bars and spins.

There are several threads on the forums where the general topic 'helmet lock' has been discussed, see

That surprises me. Mine fit on my downtubes no problem.

The HD one should fit your engine guard it is sized for 7/8-1 1/4" tubes. ive had them on my RG engine guard and on my Fatboy on a HD Mustache Guard

Kuryaykn has them in 2 sizes 7/8-1 1/4 and 1 1/4-1 1/2

Do you have the standard Harley engine guard?
I have two helmet locks attached to my 09 Heritage engine guard.

Kuryakyn makes a helmet lock that attaches to your license plate (it includes a backplate for the license plate). It is incredibly easy to use, looks innocuous, and, especially on my "sidemounted" license plate on my Breakout, keeps the helmet away from contacting the bike anywhere except the actual locking pin.

#1 what he said...I have one on my Heritage it works as advertised. I also bought a gadget from J&P cycles that looks like a chrome T with a hole in the cross section that allow you to hook multiple helmets to the helmet lock at once.

Since I have a few pistol breech cable locks, I repurpose and use as a helmet lock

+1 I keep one in my bag.

It's sad we have to resort to this because some assclown wants to steal your lid.
