Helmet Lock
They are versatile, they just look cool and they may add a bit more "deterrent" being that someone may think you are a LEO.
(and they're fun to bring into the bedroom)

Buy a Glock, get a free helmet lock. Sweet deal.

I like the handcuff idea!!!

What I did was use the HD Brand helmet locks and mount them on the top of the bag guards. Fit's perfectly, out of the way, and right there when we need them.

I had a part-time mall security job for a while way back when, and you'd be astonished what drug addicts will take and try to quickly convert into cash. We used to see the following items disappear from cars and bikes:
- wrapped parcels that the thief did not even know was inside
- jackets, hats, gloves left with the vehicle
- insurance or registration documents (which the thief sells to identity thiefs for a few bucks)
- all 4 wheels off cars (no kidding - takes a pro crew only 2 minutes to get them all off the car and leave the car on wood blocks or on the ground)
- detachable luggage racks and sissy bars
As an aside, the most famous theft at one mall I worked at went something like this: A designer clothing store had its front wide open because the weather was so nice. 3 teenagers in a car pulled up outside, 2 left the rear car doors open, ran in and picked up a complete table covered with a large number of designer jeans, carried it outside, tilted it so all the jeans slid into the rear of the car, dumped the table on the sidewalk, and drove off. Those jeans cost at least $100 per pair and up.
In another case at a Louis Vuitton store, a druggie realized that a Vuitton purse in the front window was priced at almost $5000, smashed the window with a rock, and ran off with just the one $5000 purse, and got clean away. Two weeks later, I secured the store every night for 3 days straight while a crew installed roll down window security barriers.
Look at your bike carefully. Is there ANYTHING on it that is (a) fast and easy to remove, and (b) worth at least $100. If so, COUNT on it being a theft target, especially for a drug user who just MUST get that next fix by selling that $100 item for $20 to the first buyer he can find.

And yea, I always thought he had too much time on his hands to be giftwrapping dogshit. Still, CLASSIC.
