Default Chrome or Black exhaust with Red Breakout

I have decided on the Freedom Performance Amendment exhaust for my Ember Red Breakout but I can't decide between chrome or black. Either will be a huge improvement over what I have now. And I'm ready to pull the trigger today but I just keep going back and forth on which would look better. This is a pretty expensive purchase for me so I want to get it right the first time because I will have to live with my choice.

If I go chrome I will probably leave everything else as is on the bike for now with the exception of adding a swing arm bag.

If I go black exhaust I will want to powder coat my fender brace and sissy bar/back rest black and probably add a Blackline tank console as well as the aforementioned swing arm bag.

Chrome will look good and be the cheapest route while black will look bad to the bone and be more expensive.

Anyone want to help me decide?

We have a red slim (FLS). Everything is blacked out except the motor and pipes. Pipes are all chrome. Motor is a hybrid of chrome and brushed from factory. I think it adds just enough offset for the rest of the black. Looks good.

I don't think you can ever go wrong with chrome unless the motor itself is black. Then I'd still consider it.

Good luck with this big decision.

Chrome always looks great but black always looks good with red. I think either would be good.

I'd go with black. Chrome drives me nuts and the black against the red looks great. I'm sure you've seen what 24v has done with his.

You can't go wrong either way with that color. If it was me though, it would be chrome. Black is boring.

Black out the bike but leave the exhuast chrome! Ceramic black pipes are a pain to keep nice! Im a black fan for sure. but i find chrome pipes are easier to keep nice! i had black pipes on my Fatboy Lo and they get scratched and crap melted on them and are a pain. With chrome pipes when stuff gets melted on you can even use a razor blade to get it off! just my 2 cents!

I'd have a chrome one. Even if you're planning to pc some parts, a chrome exhaust will add a nice contrast.
