Default True duals missing heat shield

I recently got a real good deal on a set of Vance and Hines true duals for my deluxe, only issue is the seller was missing the rear head pipe heat shield. nothing comes in contact with this pipe, small pipe with sharp bend goes passed oil tank, would it be ok to ride with out the heat shield? anyone do this before?

anyone got any possible solutions?
thanks

it will be fine, the heat shield gets hot as hell anyway. the shield really just hides the discoloration of the pipe.i would probably pay close attention to my pant legs though. you should be able to get the shield through vance &hines.

I am sure you could get just the shield from Vance and Hines as well.

I have the same pipes on my Fatboy. I believe this small heat shield is more decorative than for function.
