Default Can't reach rear brake pedal due to air cleaner

I have an 05 FXSTi.

I'm suprised there isn't more on this, but my rear brake pedal is a pain to reach. I don't need one that is longer, I need one that is 1.5-2" more to the right.

I looked at a few sites and they all just sell longer pedals. I think the Kury said it moved half and inch to the right too but thats not enough.

What do you all do about this?

I've never encountered this. Stock air cleaner? My Slim has a big *** rubber cover that the size if a manhole. Maybe you can weld up some support and place a larger cover over it.

I bought it this way but it looks like a Kury hypercharger.

Instead of looking at the pedal as the problem I'd look at the A/C. The Hypercharger is a pretty large one so maybe look at something with a smaller circumference?

Get a less ridiculous air cleaner would be my solution. I'm not sure there's going to be much in it, cost-wise.

I have the same problem on our '12 FLSTC. I have the inverted Arlen Ness A/C and I'm in the process of bending the rear brake pedal arm out, making the factory "Z" bend angle longer to offset the pedal farther out so I can reach it. It is a pain even with the stock A/C. I will post some pics when I'm done. I might have to have the pedal assy. re-chromed as I will be heating the pedal assy. to bend it without causing stress fractures when I use my hydraulic press to bend it.

You can also try a low profile Air Cleaner like our Outlaw 587.

They provide plenty of leg room to where you do not feel cramped.

Click HERE to see lots of different options.

Easy Fix. Harley sells an Oversized Brake Pad which is longer than the OEM. Part number = 50500-03

EASIER FIX, move the entire control mount OUT. i have the hyper R charger as well, i bought i kit to extend the pedals out. i only used 1/2 the kit as if you install both sides, it stretches the jiffy stand spring and it wont stay up tight. i know this as i had to replace the spring. anyway if you want the other 1/2 which is all you need shoot me a message and we can work something out.
