tj,
the seat was made by a guy from C&C cycles in california, i found him on ebay. try this link, i found his ad for a seat for your nightrain.

if it doesnt work, go to ebay and type in solo seat, or harley solo seat, you will see a ton of ads, but his is the ones that shows like a side view of a bike with the seat, and not just the seat itself.
they were very very easy to deal with, "chuck" emailed me several thread colors, I have a black pearl paintjob and decided to get a gray thread for my flame stitching to match, but they carry every color under the sun.
you can pick vinyl, or for a small fee you can get leather. the seats are hand made in the usa. i believe there is a danny gray tag on them, but id have to double check when i get home.
i think in total the seat, made in leather with custom flame stitching, u pick the color, runs about 230 bucks, which i think is great for a custom seat. the install was very easy, you just remove the old seat, and then you take off some bolts from the bar that runs down your rear fender, the seat has a bracket on each side that you just line up and put the bolt back in it holds the seat down. believe me, if i can do it jo jo the idiot circus boy can.
as far as comfort, i have no complaints, i generally ride for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours and i need to stop and stretch out, but i would say its better than the stock badlander seat. but it looks cool, so who cares right? haha
i think they can do other work other than flames if u want, and i think the turn around time from when i ordered was only about 2 weeks, they were very fast.
the only thing that i do not like, is if you stand behind the bike, there is a small gap on the back part of the seat, and you can see the electronics down there, there is a aluminum bracket, or small box that you could paint black and you wouldnt see it, but its very minor, other than that i love it. i would definately buy from them again.
well that was long winded, hope that helps. if u need more photos or anything just yell. I just changed my bars from the stock drag bars to T bars with an 8" stretch, and it makes a huge difference, i'm so glad i did it. while i miss the aggressive riding style, i think the more upright makes the overall riding much more comfortable. i got the bars for 80 bucks, and a friend installed them for free. just my 2 cents.
