This weekend, I'll be riding from Columbia, SC to Maggie Valley, NC. It's obviously not going to take the whole weekend to get there. My family gets a cabin every year. I really hope to make it to Deal's Gap if the weather permits. I've been working 60-70 hour weeks since Novemeber, so I'm really looking forward to getting a break! I rode out there last year, and saw a very large number of bikes. Is labor day weekend a rally weekend somewhere nearby or is that just the way it is up there?

 

I think Cherokee Survivor's Rally is going on over in Cherokee during Labor Day weekend. It's just across Soco mountain outside of Maggie. It's a good time, lots of bikes, babes, bands, beer...I'll be in Maggie the following weekend for a long awaited vacation too!
have fun, ride safe. There are alot of motorcycle accidents on the BRP during that time, watch out.

 

The trip up the mountain was great. You couldn't ask for better weather. Unfortunately, I had to trailer the bike home, because my stator burned up.
