Default Outer Banks Biker Down

On the way home from the Outer Banks Bike Rally we did run across a bad wreck & stopped to help out. A fellow biker had gone down on HWY64 right outside of Columbia. Said his rear brakes locked up with him going down the road. There was one long skid mark, then a bare spot of about 10ft then another skid mark that took a right turn to the shoulder of the highway & it threw him off. We helped direct traffic & others had stopped also. Nikki said he had some blood coming from his mouth & he couldn't hardly breathe. Ambulance finally got there & hauled him off. Not really religious but I'll say a few words for him tonight. He said he couldn't feel his leg while Nikki was holding his hand. Tore her up pretty good because he was squeezing her hand like he was holding on for dear life & had tears coming out of his eyes. All she could think about was if that could have been me that went down like that. Saw a wreck last year also going up to Corolla & stopped to help with that one. I'll stop for any fellow rider that needs help, no matter what they're riding or skin color. A fellow rider is a friend as far as I'm concerned & hope they would do the same for me. What really pissed me off the most was some of the ******** that didn't even want to ****ing slow down as they were passing by. Don't forget that my 2 kids were there also & my daughter was trying to help since she's CPR certified & everything. Makes daddy really proud & she's only 14. Made Hunter (he's only 6) stay on the other side with the truck. It wouldn't have been a good day if some jackass had hit one of my kids because I'd have probably killed the ****er right there on the spot to be honest. Say a prayer tonight for a downed fellow rider & wish him a speedy recovery. I think he was in a club called 13 M/C or something like that.

Thanks for helping him out.
He'll be in our thoughts.

Sometimes too many people stop and it gets to be a circus. Maybe first 5 should stop and then medical professionals if they are passing by.

You guys did a good job. Too bad a great rally had to end like that for some.

My thanks to you also for the help. I hate to see a biker down.

I live here in Kitty Hawk and heard of another bad accident on the beach road Saturday night. Apparently a female biker was hit by a car and thrown a good ways.

No other news on this how about u guys?

Sorry to hear about both wrecks.... and then WRAL-TV ran a blurb about a wreck in Garner this week end......
People.... please be careful.....

But then sometimes WE are our worse nightmares,
Approaching Tarboro NC mid-afternoon.... a line of 10 bikes, easing down the right lane at the posted limit, along comes an SUV, towing a trailer, passes half the line, then cuts right across the group......to make his exit.... and YUP... big ol Bar & Shield decal on the back of the trailer.....
thank's pal...

The girl was hit at the Lucky 12 bar on beach road.I was standing out in front of the bar as this happened. She was running across the road and ran infront of the vehicle who had no chance in stopping in time. A motorcyclist almost got her before the the car, So it was all her fault. Oh and she was talking and moving but was kept down for safety reasons until Medical care could get there, also just happened to be a ER nurse (Biker) who heard what happened and ran out and took over the situation until ambulance got there which was really quick.

Hope the guy pulled through ok. Has to be scary to get in a wreck alone. If I ever come upon something like that, hope I can do the right things by them.

Did you ever get his name?
