The Texas Fandango Vintage Motorcycle Show is this April 12-14, 2024, in Fredericksburg Tx. It's always a great show in the wonderful Texas Hill Country in April.

Lots of wildflowers, Texas BBQ, craft beer and wine. Kerrville, Comfort and Luckenback Tx are near by, as is lots of great riding. The Twisted Sisters bike ride is near by too. So bring a bike and enjoy Texas in the spring when the weather is usually perfect.

Great suggestion Paul; Fredericksburg is one of our favorite weekend haunts; great atmosphere, great food without the typical "tourist" flavor. Don't forget the Pacific War Museum; one of the best in the country and often overlooked by visitors. Also check out the Willow City Loop; all the Texas wildflowers will be on display on this 13 mile loop just outside Fredercksburg. Mixed in with the motorcycle show makes for a great weekend getaway. I know I will be there.

 

That's one of my favorite events, and it's close by too.

I'll be there on Thursday the 11th and staying in Kerrrville. I like the more relaxed feel of Kerrville over the touristy Fredericksburg. And not having to wait in line for a seat in a restaurant.

Thanks for the info Pgreer. Get to Fredericksburg and other places in/around hill country, but haven’t yet gone to Fandango.

 

It's a good event, especialy if you like the antique bikes. They also have dirt track racing and a swap meet. And then there is great riding in the area.

I'm interested in this. I usually tent camp on motorcycle trips. Does anyone have any experience to share about the Lady Bird Johnson campground?

 

I've never camped there, but I've driver through it many times. The description at the link below indicates it has shower facilities. It is right next to the Fandango event so it is convenient for that.

Any reason to visit the Texas Hill Country is a good one, especially if it involves motorcycles. From the Fandango location, pretty much in any direction is nice riding.

This event is on my calendar. Bring your raingear. The weather is unpredictable mid- April in Texas.
